Lady Gaga cancels remaining ‘Joanne World Tour’ dates due to “severe pain”

has today announced that she has been forced to cancel the remaining dates on her Joanne World Tour.

The global superstar took to her social media channels just a few hours ago to confirm that her remaining 10 dates in Europe will no longer be going ahead as she is suffering from “severe pain”.

In a statement issued this morning, the star’s team wrote: “Unfortunately, is suffering from severe pain that has materially impacted her ability to perform live. As a result, Live Nation and are announcing the cancellation of the final 10 dates of the European leg of her Joanne World Tour. Last night, with strong support from her medical team, made the tough decision to immediately come off the road. She is extremely sorry and deeply saddened that she cannot perform for her European fans, who have waited so patiently”.

In a separate statement, said that she is “so devastated” at having to cancel the dates.

The statement reads: “All I know is that if I don’t do this, I am not standing by the words or meaning of my music. My medical team is supporting the decision for me to recover at home. We’re cancelling the last 10 shows of my Joanne World Tour. I love this show more than anything, and I love you, but this is beyond my control.

“London, Manchester, Zurich, Kolm, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Paris, Berlin. And Rio. I promise I will be back in your city, but for now, I need to put myself and my well-being first. I love you, forever. XX Gaga”.

suffers from a condition known as fibromyalgia, which can cause severe pain – it is the reason Gaga originally postponed the European dates.

European fans have been waiting an exceptionally long time to see perform live on the Joanne World Tour. Originally, the dates were meant to take place around October of last year, but the star was forced to postpone the dates to early 2018 due to suffering from chronic pain at the time. But now, the star has pulled the plug altogether. However, we’re positive that her fans will understand and appreciate the reasons why has cancelled her forthcoming dates, and we hope that she gets better soon, especially with her Las Vegas Residency on the horizon.

The good news to potentially come from this is that over the past few dates that has performed, there has been professional recording taking place. A couple of nights ago, re-performed ‘Scheibe’ due to the stage not working properly, as the concert was being recorded. Hopefully this will mean that an official tour DVD will be released.

Fans who have tickets for any of the remaining 10 dates will be able to apply for a refund through their Point of Purchase from next week.
