Ginuwine has become the fifth housemate to be evicted from the house in this year’s Winter series.

We’re only a couple of weeks away from this year’s Winter series of coming to a close, and Big Brother has to find a way to get all of his housemates out of the house. A double eviction? CHECK.  A Backdoor eviction? CHECK? An eviction twist? CHECK!

Last night we saw that became the fourth housemate to be evicted from the house after he was nominated by his fellow female housemates in the house. The men went up against the women this week in the house as it was the battle of the sexes. However, the men lost out to the women, meaning that both John and Daniel O’Reilly faced eviction from the house via the back door. In the end, it was John who was kicked out of the house yesterday, and tonight, Ginuwine has followed him.

Tonight’s eviction was a very quick affair as the nominated housemates were only announced during tonight’s live show. The lines opened for viewers to vote in a speedy flash vote, in which they had a generous 24 minutes to vote after we found that Ann Widdecombe, Ginuwine, Wayne Sleep, Daniel O’Reilly, and Jonny Mitchell would be facing the chop.

After the lines closed, host spoke to the house and revealed that Ginuwine had the least support out there and had therefore become the fifth housemate to be evicted from the house.

In his exit interview this evening, Ginuwine said: “It’s very hard especially with people that you like and people who have made a difference in your life”.

Obviously, one big talking point in his exit interview tonight was his ‘romance’ with Ashley James: “She is a beautiful young lady … early on we really clicked. In a place like that, it’s foreign territory for me going into a house like that with strangers. We really clicked, Ashley, me, Malika… When we had a long talk on the couch when everyone was in the kitchen, we talked for like four hours non-stop. It didn’t help that we didn’t have a lot of things to do, but I get the Big Brother thing – it’s a different experience for a lot of people”.

He added that he doesn’t feel like he knows Ashley any more than he would do if he was dating someone for a few weeks under normal circumstances. “When the camera in on you, you kind of hold back a little bit. This is the house, let’s see what happens after the house,” Ginuwine explained.

“I think it was what it was on the show, and I am wanting to see what it will be after. You can’t say you’re going to marry someone, or you’re in love with someone after a couple of weeks… it’s a genuine attraction,” Ginuwine explained.
