The curse of Home Farm is set to strike both its old resident, and new, next week in as karma pays both Lachlan White and Joe Tate a visit, but will either of them escape their just deserts?

Fans of the hit soap will know that Lucy Lachlan lived up to his nick name last week when he managed to walk away from a car crash he caused, which left his mother and grandfather dead, and his aunt fighting for her life.

However, the troubled teen’s luck may be about to run out….

Cast your minds back to the day of the crash and you will recall that Lachlan () accidentally phoned best pal Gerry (Shaun Thomas) and left a very incriminating voicemail, basically recording the whole accident, and his reasons for causing it.

Up until last night Gerry thought he had lost his phone until Lachlan’s girlfriend Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) went to hand it to him, unfortunately dropping it and smashing it in the process.

Next week viewers can expect to see the penny drop for Lachlan when he realises that the call was made, and starts to panic about Gerry listening to the recording once he gets his phone back from the repair shop.

The situation is set to come to a head during the White family funeral, with Lachlan stealing Gerry’s keys after faking a panic attack during the service so he can intercept the delivery of the phone to delete the message…

But when Gerry gets to the phone first and insists they all listen to the message together, could it be game over for not-so-lucky Lachlan?

Elsewhere and Joe Tate () is about to discover why you don’t mess with the Dingles once and for all as he finds himself the prey of a real-life man hunt!

Fans will know that Joe has been playing his own real-life game with the village of these past few months, building people up just to knock them down as part of a very elaborate revenge mission against his former stepmother, Charity (Emma Atkins).

As we revealed yesterday, the main victim in Joe’s sick plan, Debbie (), who fell hopelessly in love with the person that Joe wanted her to believe he was, is already planning on a house warming party to remember, armed with a can of petrol and a lighter.

But it would seem that this is only one of two ways that Joe could meet his sticky soap end as the new January trailer also shows the spoilt millionaire being confronted by a masked gunman in the woods…

We don’t want to give too much away about which situation will cause Joe the most pain, but what we can tell you is that he will have a fair bit of time to think about what he is done after he is left in a pit to die… But will he?
