‘Good Karma Hospital’ recommissioned for second series

The will return to for a second series.

The news comes as the six-part series concluded this evening.

The drama consolidated audiences of around 6.7 million – a 26% audience share.

, , , , , and will all return.

Executive Producer of Drama, Will Gould, said: “We are beyond delighted that The has struck such a chord with the audience who have taken these vibrant characters and life affirming stories to their hearts.

“It’s been an incredibly international production, but it all started with creator ’s scripts, and ’s belief in them, so I’d like to thank them both for that. I can’t wait to see series two come to life.”

’s Senior Drama Commissioner, Victoria Fea, added: “We’re very excited about developing a second series of The . It’s brought the warmth, colour and vibrancy of India to our wintry Sunday nights. This is a credit to the wonderful cast, ’s well-crafted scripts and Drama.”

Filming for the second series begins in August, with further casting news coming closer to production.
